Exciting opportunity for health data scientist to join the SchistoTrack team to work on complex multimodal data
We have an exciting opportunity for a health data scientist to work on a disease of poverty and big data. We are seeking a well-organised individual with a strong interest in programming, data analyses, and quality control. You will be responsible for helping to manage the unique, highly dimensional data (spatial-temporal, images, biomedical datasets, etc.) generated from the SchistoTrack Cohort in Uganda. You will supply support through data wrangling, programming, and data analyses to the wider Oxford and Uganda teams. This post provides an exciting opportunity to work with diverse data types, address pressing issues affecting some of the poorest individuals worldwide, and to gain rigorous research skills by joining a multi-disciplinary team employing quantitative approaches to novel biomedical problems.
To be considered, you must hold a strong degree in life sciences, mathematics, or a related computational subject such as computer science, physics, or engineering to the level of MSc. You will have experience of using R or Python for data manipulation, and statistical analysis or machine learning.
