Modelling to support the STOP project - developing and testing the efficacy of new therapeutics for soil-transmitted helminths
Rachel Pullan and Graham Medley are looking for a disease modeller to develop mathematical models to examine potential impacts on transmission and economic benefits of a new treatment regimen for strongyloides and other soil-transmitted helminths, as part of a European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) funded project STOP (http://stoptheworm.org). We are prepared to train the right person who has the necessary quantitative analysis skills. This is a multi-disciplinary project and we are looking for somebody with strong skills in one aspect, but not necessarily all.
