Postdoc in Deep Generative Modelling for Infectious Diseases at Imperial. Work on Bayesian ML, SBI, probabilistic programming and spatial statistics.
This postdoc opportunity in Deep Generative Modelling comes with substantial research freedom and would be an excellent fit for someone excited about developing new methods in deep generative modelling, Bayesian inference, probabilistic programming, simulation-based inference, and spatial statistics.
With me as your line manager, you would also work closely with Robert Verity, OJ Watson and our groups, alongside collaborators at UNC Chapel Hill, Brown, the University of Oxford, and beyond.
What the position offers:
- Methodological research
- Direct access to difficult and important infectious disease problems
- A highly interdisciplinary environment spanning ML, statistics, genomics and epidemiology
Strong background in probabilistic machine learning or computational statistics is essential. Prior epidemiology experience is optional, but genuine interest in infectious disease problems is important.
