INRAE is opening a tenure-track researcher position based in Lyon, France, within the EPIA unit (https://eng-epia.clermont.hub.inrae.fr/). The successful candidate will develop inferential approaches that combine epidemiological models, phylodynamics, and machine learning to improve the estimation of transmission parameters, with applications to animal and zoonotic diseases.

These approaches will be applied to case studies for which data are already available, in particular epizootic haemorrhagic disease and avian influenza, and will build on collaborative projects that are already funded, including the support of a postdoctoral researcher for two years.
